The digital electricity and gas procurement platform enPORTAL celebrated its 10th birthday. Together with customers, suppliers, friends and employees, a fantastic event took place in the Emporio Tower above the Hamburg skyline.
Hamburg, 10 April 2018. The digital electricity and gas procurement platform enPORTAL celebrates its birthday. Customers have been able to procure their energy needs online for 10 years now. enPORTAL took this anniversary as an opportunity to celebrate with customers, suppliers, high-profile speakers and all employees in the Emporio Tower above the Hamburg skyline.
The topic of the day was the question of how digitalisation has already changed our (working) world and will continue to do so. Speakers from Google Germany, earlybird venture Capital, the Technical University of Harburg and others highlighted the opportunities but also the entrepreneurial challenges that digitalisation brings with it. In the ensuing discussions, the participants agreed that this rapid development will only be survived by companies that succeed in the complete digital transformation of their business processes. This requires, among other things, a change from the currently still predominant product-oriented to customer-oriented thinking. The optimisation of internal company processes through the use of artificial intelligence (AI) was given considerable importance. The focus was also on the changing customer relationships via mobile devices.
Ultimately, it is about surfing the wave of development driven by digitalisation. This can be achieved with pretotyping and the outsourcing of development departments, among other things, in order to give free rein to creativity.
All speakers agreed that despite different perspectives, the digital transformation will be the decisive aspect that will determine the survival of a company. Today, no company can afford to ignore digitalisation in its business sector.
enPORTAL has been a digital company from the very beginning; continuous digital development is a core component of the company. Only in this way is it possible that today over 2,500 customers with over 100,000 delivery points are supported by a team of 20.
In order to further expand its market leadership in the next 10 years, enPORTAL will rely on AI-supported processes, blockchain technology in a proven combination with personal customer support, among other things.
