With yesterday's adoption of the new economic stimulus package, the German government has set the EEG levy for 2021 and 2022 ahead of schedule. For 2021, companies can expect a green electricity levy of 6.500 ct/kWh, for the following year 2022 the value is reduced to 6.000 ct/kWh. This means that the costs for the EEG levy will fall by 3.8 percent compared to this year and by a further 7.7 percent in 2022.
