With yesterday's adoption of the new economic stimulus package, the German government has set the EEG levy for 2021 and 2022 ahead of schedule. For 2021, companies can expect a green electricity levy of 6.500 ct/kWh, for the following year 2022 the value is reduced to 6.000 ct/kWh. This means that the costs for the EEG levy will fall by 3.8 percent compared to this year and by a further 7.7 percent in 2022.

enPORTAL has already updated and stored the new EEG values in the online portal for all its customers, so that energy buyers can immediately see how electricity costs will change over the next two years. This immediate overview of costs facilitates business planning.
