Hamburg, 15 July 2019. enPORTAL is one of the largest online trading places for electricity and gas in the B2B sector and links 620 energy suppliers from all over Germany with around 2,500 customers from industry, commerce, trade and the public sector. For energy suppliers, the Hamburg portal operator has developed a new online tool called enPORTAL Market leader which, for the first time, can be used to measure sales success in the key account sector. At enPORTAL Market leader all electricity and gas prices submitted in online tenders via enPORTAL are evaluated in real time. This enables energy suppliers to recognise their position in the dynamic energy market, analyse bid prices for electricity and gas and identify new sales opportunities. The data service can be booked online in the Basic, Profi and Corporate versions. With the online tool, enPORTAL offers new transparency and sales optimisation at the click of a mouse in B2B energy trading.
New data service: Positioning in the B2B energy market
In order to support energy supply companies in key account sales, enPORTAL has expanded its service with a cloud-based online tool: The enPORTAL Market leader offers energy suppliers a wealth of new evaluation options in electricity and gas trading: With a click, they can see which energy prices are currently being realised in the B2B market and how energy quantities are distributed in their own balancing group or in the entire energy market. Sales staff can see in the enPORTAL Market leader For the first time, energy suppliers can see where they stand in the competitive environment and how far their own electricity and gas offers are from what is currently happening on the market. For the first time, energy suppliers can measure their sales success, identify top sellers and recognise new optimisation potential thanks to numerous filters. In the volatile electricity and gas markets, sales staff need this information in real time. "We are pleased to be the first in the German market to offer this service to energy suppliers. Representative market data at first hand
At enPORTAL, approximately 1,000 online tenders for electricity and gas are managed and implemented each year, which are requested by the approximately 2,500 customers from the industry, trade, health care, commercial and public sectors. In real time, the enPORTAL Market leader currently 95,000 points of delivery with an energy volume of approx. 17 terawatt hours. The database includes all electricity and gas prices submitted retroactively up to 2014 in anonymised form and is updated immediately and regularly after online tenders have ended. Due to the large competition among 620 energy suppliers in enPORTAL and the growing database, the key account sales of energy supply companies receive representative market information. A wide range of evaluation options at the click of a mouse
The enPORTAL Market leader is bookable online in three versions. At Basic-Account, energy suppliers receive information on their own ranking after online tenders in which they have participated. At Professionalaccount, users can see all the bidding mirrors after online tenders have been issued via enPORTAL. Here it becomes clear which market prices are traded and for which reasons suppliers are awarded the contract and win customers. In the most comprehensive version Corporate energy suppliers have full access to all market information. Sales managers recognise current top sellers in the market and can use numerous intelligent filters to gain new information for their own potential analysis.
