The levies, charges and taxes for electricity have increased in some cases for 2020 and are causing additional costs for companies in the SME sector. In an information brochure, the portal operator enPORTAL has summarised the most important changes for energy buyers from companies in the industrial, trade, hospital and commercial sectors. This is the third edition of the information series "Energy Costs 2020", which summarises industry knowledge about digital electricity and gas procurement. The document can be requested and downloaded free of charge from the enPORTAL website. Buyers who use enPORTAL's B2B online portal for their digital energy procurement and cloud-based energy data management will see all changes stored online in their account. The cost components for all surcharges, levies and taxes are shown in detail, from the individual delivery point to the overall overview.
Rising levies, charges and taxes for electricity
In addition to the EEG levy and the grid charges, levies, charges and taxes have also been changed for 2020. These include the KWKG levy, the offshore grid levy, the levy for disconnectable loads, the electricity tax, the concession levy and the §19 StromNEV levy. While some values have been increased, others have remained unchanged or have fallen slightly. enPORTAL has published a third information brochure on this topic in the series "Energy Costs 2020", which summarises the most important changes for energy buyers of medium-sized companies. Industrial, commercial and trade companies in particular must always keep an eye on their energy costs. This also applies to operators of clinics and hospitals or property managers with numerous purchasing points and locations. Interested parties can request the information brochure and all previously published documents from the enPORTAL knowledge series free of charge on the website and download them from the following link: Info Brochures Energy Costs 2020. "In addition to the pure energy price, the apportionments, levies and taxes have a significant impact on the energy costs in the year. Our brochures summarise the most important changes in the B2B energy market and thus provide a transparent transfer of knowledge about professional electricity and gas procurement," says Rainer Otto, founder and owner of enPORTAL.
Current energy data stored in the B2B online portal
Anyone who is responsible for energy data management in a company today appreciates automatic data updating and linking to statutory levies, apportionments and taxes. Manual processing with Excel tables, on the other hand, requires a lot of time and effort. That's why enPORTAL customers have always benefited from a service that automatically links their own energy consumption data with the statutory values in the password-protected area in the online portal via a cloud solution. In this way, current as well as future energy costs are immediately recognisable. "Energy buyers who use our B2B online portal always have all energy industry-relevant market information at hand and individually transferred to their consumption profile. This leads to time and cost savings, as the amount of work involved in legal changes approaches zero," says Clemens Graf von Wedel, founder and owner of enPORTAL. The portal operator manages almost 17 terawatt hours with more than 100,000 consumption points, which are distributed among about 2,500 customers. With 630 energy suppliers bidding in online tenders, enPORTAL is one of the largest B2B online trading places for electricity and gas in Germany.
